LANDSCAPE OF LIGHT
This series marks the beginning of a sculptural exploration of the human body through light
Here, the body is approached not as a subject of representation, but as a landscape revealed by illumination. A narrow, chiselled beam of light defines volume while allowing the surrounding form to dissolve into shadow. Visibility itself becomes uncertain: the figure seems to emerge from darkness only to disappear into it again
These works became the starting point for a broader artistic language. The exploration of sculptural light developed here would later lead to Between Breath & Shadow, while the dialogue between monochrome and color gave rise to the Diptychs series
What remains is a quiet landscape of form — where light does not describe the body, but reveals its presence
