ABOUT ME
Aleksandr Sokolnikov is a contemporary artist working at the intersection of photography and visual composition.
His work explores silence, presence, and the subtle tension between the human body and the natural world. Through a restrained and painterly approach, he creates images that exist between reality and abstraction.
Guided by light, form, and rhythm, each piece is carefully constructed to evoke a sense of stillness and introspection. Rather than documenting, his practice focuses on distillation — reducing the image to its essential emotional core.
His works are held in private collections worldwide.
Alongside
my ongoing photographic research, I accept a limited number of
commissioned projects each year.
My
work is rooted in an interest in human presence, identity, memory,
physical form, and states of transition. Rather than conventional
photographic sessions, these collaborations are approached as
individual photographic projects developed through dialogue,
observation, and a shared process of discovery.
